This 14.5 oz. organic selvedge denim boasts a tight weave density and generous starch application, ensuring remarkable rigidity. But what truly distinguishes it is its exceptional aging property, a testament to Kurabo Mills' blend of heritage and innovative denim craftsmanship. This denim stands out due to its unique construction: the warp, visible predominantly on the fabric's face, is yarn-dyed black, allowing it to gradually fade with wear and washes. Conversely, the weft, visible on predominantly on the fabric's back, is dyed with a 'stay black' dye, retaining its deep black hue without fading. Although this might seem unconventional for fading denim, it yields intriguing contrasts, emphasizing the warp-weft intersections. This clever construction promises more pronounced contrasting fades compared to regular dry black denim.
